The building is located on the western slope of the Bairro Alto hill, between Rua da Rosa and Rua do Século. It is a building from the beginning of the century. XIX that stands out for the careful architecture of the main facade with the ashlars in lioz stone.
The building was developed in 3 floors: Ground floor, 1st, 2nd, in an elongated plan, with fronts for two streets. In the center there was a small lobby, which had been occupied on the ground floor and 1st floor.
The program foresaw the union of the entire area in a fraction to be occupied as housing by a single family. 
The main challenge of the project was the recovery of the lobby as a source of light and privacy for the entire house. For this, demolitions were planned to enlarge the space and transform it into a Patio, an empty central element that unifies, ventilates and illuminates all the spaces of the house.
The building's staircase was preserved and adapted to the house's staircase, with glass doors on the landings for the various spaces of the house: common areas on the 1st floor and bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The ground floor is occupied by a garage, atelier and a bedroom.
